This is the shocking moment a Turkish man confronts his estranged wife as she pops out to buy milk and repeatedly stabs her because she refused to get back together with him.
The incident took place in the neighbourhood of Bayrampasa in the north-western Turkish city of Istanbul after the vehicle left her mother’s home to buy milk on 2nd April.
According to the news site Bursada Bugun, the victim, identified as Aleyna Tulay Tas, is divorcing her husband Okan Tas due to the violence she suffered at his hands.
She previously stayed in a women’s shelter before moving to her mother’s house in Bayrampasa.
Tas, who left her husband in February, popped out to buy milk on 2nd April and was confronted by her estranged husband in the street.
Okan allegedly stabbed her in broad daylight with a knife he brought with him because she refused to get back together with him.
The victim was lying in a pool of blood on the ground as several citizens rushed to her aid and others chased the suspect.
The suspect was detained a short while later and placed in police custody.
The investigation is ongoing.
The CCTV footage shows the pair walking along the street before Okan apparently starts dragging her.
The woman tries to break free, but her husband apparently pulls out a knife and stabs her multiple times before leaving her on the ground and running off.
She is currently in hospital receiving treatment for her injuries, having survived the attack.
