Dad Drives Daughter Off-Road Then Shoots Her 20 Times When She Refuses To Say Where His Estranged Wife Is

A jealous dad used his car to drive his daughter and her pals of the road and then shot her 20 times in the head and body when she refused to tell him where her mother was.

The incident took place in the district of Havran in the north-western Turkish city of Balikesir on 27th June 2019.

The victim, general practitioner Gulnur Yilmaz, 28, was travelling from Balikesir to Antalya to prepare for an exam with two friends.

Her father Mustafa Ali Yilmaz, 69, who was separated from his wife, followed his daughter in his car and reportedly crashed into her vehicle, sending it careering off the road.

The suspect dragged his daughter from the car in front of her friends and dragged her over to his vehicle and he demanded to know where her mother was.

The suspect then shot his own daughter with 20 bullets, 11 of them in her head, according to local media.

The father tried to flee the scene on foot, but was soon caught by local police teams with the gun in his possession.

He now faces life imprisonment if convicted of murder.

Meanwhile, the victim’s mother Gulden Yilmaz divorced from the defendant in January 2020.

During a hearing at Balikesir Burhaniye High Criminal Court, Mustafa Ali Yilmaz reportedly claimed that he was mentally unstable.

The court has adjourned to wait for a psychological evaluation of the defendant.
