This is the shocking moment a young British girl is kidnapped in front of cops by a Turkish father and his family during a visit to Istanbul.

The girl’s mother Zubeyde Akdeniz, who lived in the UK, married Halil Yildiz in Turkey 10 years ago after meeting in Istanbul.

After separating, Akdeniz returned to the UK and gave birth to the couple’s daughter Seriban, 7.

Yildiz insisted on seeing his young daughter and Akdeniz eventually brought her to Turkey to visit her dad.

However, Yildiz allegedly kidnapped the girl, and the mother had to return to the UK alone where she successfully filed for custody.

After winning custody of the abducted girl, Akdeniz returned to Turkey with local police officers to collect the girl from school in the south-eastern Turkish city of Sanliurfa where her father lived.

According to the newspaper Milliyet, the father’s family learned that Akdeniz was at the school with police officers and turned up with sticks.

In the police footage, a man in a white shirt is seen running from officers apparently with the girl by his side.

The cop then speaks with several men, some with sticks, as the pair gets into a vehicle and flees the scene.

One man, identified as Celal Yildiz, a relative of the father, says to the cop: “You are going to take the girl to Europe and deliver her to infidels. Aren’t you afraid of God?”

Everyone involved in preventing the girl from being returned to her mother has been detained.

Akdeniz reported the incident to the British Consulate as the local authorities say they are continuing to try and track down the girl.

Officers have already raided two properties belonging to the father’s family, however without success at the moment.
