A young mother of two young daughters has been stabbed through the heart by her husband of eight years.

Serap Oner, 26, was allegedly murdered on the steps of her family home by her estranged husband, Ali Oner, in spite of a restraining order on Monday night, 28th September.

Mother of two young daughters, Serap, was hiding at her father’s house in the Ceyhan district, in Adana province in southern Turkey.

The family had a restraining order against Ali while divorce proceedings were ongoing after he previously fired a gun at the house.

But this time Ali brought a knife to the house where the couple had a verbal argument at the door that escalated when he stabbed his wife and fled the scene.

She fell to the ground covered in blood and her family took her to hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.

Speaking to local news agency DHA, Serap’s brother Suleyman Kayadan said that the family had complained to the police about Ali Oner in the past.

He said: “He threatened my sister with a knife before. He had previously broken into the house and he had fired a gun at our house.

“We filed a complaint to the police as a family and had a restraining order put on him.”

Police have launched a manhunt to find Oner, who remains at large.

It is not clear if the children were present at the time of the murder.

An autopsy is to be performed on Ms Oner’s body in the coming weeks.
