A 20-year-old Canadian woman has been found dead on the stairs outside her Algerian boyfriend’s apartment in Istanbul following a furious row.
The woman was found lying on the stairs of the four-storey block on Sakrak Street, which is in the Istanbul district of Fatih, formerly known as Constantinople, at 5:30am over the weekend.
Three people including the Algerian boyfriend that were living in the apartment have been taken in for questioning.

The downstairs neighbour of the murdered Canadian woman stated that she heard shouting sounds from the house the night before.
In a tearful interview, she said” “I am very sad. The girl was staying with them. I know the girl is Canadian and her boyfriend is Algerian.
“They were both very young. They were going to each other’s houses from time to time. But I was constantly hearing shouts when they were here in that apartment.

“I heard shouting sounds last night as well. I didn’t know what happened. When I saw the police coming, I didn’t go upstairs.”
After the end of the police work at the crime scene, the dead body of the young woman was taken to the Forensic Medicine Morgue in Yenibosna with a funeral vehicle.
