Would-Be Kidnapper With Gang Flee After Woman’s Loyal Dog Clamps Onto Attacker’s Leg

This is the moment a dog prevents the alleged kidnapping of its young woman owner by leaping at an intruder and sinking its teeth into his leg, forcing him and his gang to flee.

The incident happened in Polinya del Xuquer, Valencia province, Spain, on 30th October 2025, but the footage only emerged recently after police announced they tracked down and arrested the suspects.

According to the Guardia Civil, the woman told officers she heard noises at her front door and turned the handle, only to be met with a violent shove from a man waiting outside.

The suspect, whom she did not know and who spoke with an Eastern European accent, forced his way into the hallway, grabbed her arm tightly, and shouted: “Come with me.”

Within seconds, one of her dogs hurled itself at the intruder and bit him on the leg, sparking a struggle in the entrance of the home.

The sudden attack, combined with barking and shouting, caused the man to break free and run. The woman later required medical treatment for injuries to her lips, arms and elbow.

Security cameras captured the build-up to the attempted abduction. Footage shows the main suspect rounding a corner, followed by three hooded accomplices who remained waiting nearby.

Dressed in black and wearing a cap, the man is seen pulling on gloves before walking up to the victim’s door.

As soon as the door opens, he forces it wide and rushes inside. Moments later, the cameras capture the commotion as two dogs appear in the doorway, with one clamping onto the intruder’s leg.

Outside, the three accomplices are seen retreating and running from the scene, with the main suspect following shortly afterwards.

A local police officer in the area heard the woman’s cries for help, and a neighbour also came out after hearing the disturbance. The suspects fled in a vehicle, and its registration number was obtained.

The Guardia Civil launched Operation ‘Nidorino’ after reviewing CCTV footage and confirming that four hooded individuals had acted in a coordinated manner, each with a specific role.

Investigators believe the woman was targeted because the alleged organisers, two young men from Algemesí town, knew her partner who is also from the same town and were aware of what they considered to be the couple’s high standard of living.

Officers are working on the hypothesis that they recruited the 40-year-old Ukrainian suspect to carry out the abduction in exchange for money.

Investigators traced the getaway car to a rental company. The registered renter, a resident of Algemesi in Valencia province, later reported it stolen.

Officers found inconsistencies in his account and established that he had rented the vehicle for his nephew, who did not have a driving licence, in exchange for EUR 50. The car was later discovered burned out and without number plates.

In November 2025, officers arrested a 21-year-old Spanish man from Algemesi on suspicion of criminal organisation, kidnapping, vehicle damage, document falsification and road safety offences.

In December 2025, two more Spanish men, aged 20 and 21 and also from Algemesi, were arrested on suspicion of criminal organisation, kidnapping and vehicle damage.

As part of the investigation, officers contacted health centres across Valencia province to determine whether anyone had sought treatment for a dog bite to the leg.

Although no official record was located, staff at one centre recalled treating a man with an eastern European accent who did not provide identification.

Police compiled a list of men aged between 30 and 45 from eastern European countries registered at that medical centre. The victim later identified one of them in a photographic line-up as her attacker.

A 40-year-old Ukrainian man from Valencia was subsequently arrested on suspicion of criminal organisation, kidnapping and vehicle damage. According to the Guardia Civil, he still had visible bite marks on his right leg at the time of his arrest.

The case continues.
