This is the moment a television host shows the injuries she says she suffered after being strangled and assaulted by her ex-partner, as she confirmed a criminal investigation has been opened.
The video was published in Mexico City, Mexico, on 24th February, with the assault said to have taken place on 6th September 2025.
Edna Monroy, 45, shared footage on Instagram displaying what she described as evidence of physical violence by her former partner, Enrique “N”, a 50-year-old financial consultant.
She had previously made public accusations in October 2024 but said she was now releasing images, audio recordings and screenshots of messages to support her complaint.
According to Edna, threats from her ex-partner began in May 2024 and culminated in a violent incident in September 2025 following an argument.
In the video, she alleges: “In the middle of the argument, he pushed me down the stairs and threw a box with objects inside on top of me.” She said that after returning to look for her cat, she lost consciousness.
She said: “When I came to, I was on the floor and his hand was strangling me. I don’t even know how I managed to get out. I asked police officers for help and remained sheltered in a patrol car until a relative arrived.”
Edna also alleged that her ex-partner threatened to kill her pet cat, named Chabela, if she did not go to see him.

The images she shared show a laceration beneath her left eyebrow with active bleeding, wounds on both knees, visible injuries to her elbows, bruising and compression marks on her neck, and bruises on both legs.
She later displayed what she said is a permanent scar on her left eyelid and marks on her limbs.
Edna stated that a formal investigation has been opened and that a hearing has been scheduled, although she did not disclose the date.
Enrique “N” is identified in Mexican media as the brother of Martin Fuentes, who is married to actress and former beauty queen Jacky Bracamontes.
Edna said in her post that the case is not a “couple’s argument” but a crime, and urged authorities to act on the evidence she has submitted.

She also addressed other women ahead of International Women’s Day on 8th March, saying: “If they push you, if they strangle you, if they threaten you, if they isolate you, do not normalise it.
“Violence always escalates. Reporting is frightening, but living in silence is worse. No woman should have to bleed to be believed. I have spoken, now I hope for justice.”
As of now, Enrique “N” has not made any public statement regarding the allegations.
