This is the moment a furious landlord calls police after unlocking his rented flat to find it transformed into a garbage-strewn wreck by an online celebrity tenant who had fled the property rather than clean it.
The incident happened in Guilin, Guangxi region, southern China, and the video was shared on Douyin – the Chinese version of TikTok on 13th March.
Footage and photos recorded by the landlord show the property in a shocking state, with rubbish piled high across the floor, furniture and even the bed.
The landlord, identified as Mr Hou, said he had rented the flat to a woman several months earlier under a formal tenancy agreement setting out the rental period and responsibilities.
He said the home had been handed over spotless, with all furniture and appliances intact, and that he had repeatedly reminded the tenant to keep it clean.
The tenant was described as a livestreamer in reports by local media.
During the tenancy, Mr Hou said he occasionally checked in via messaging apps and was consistently told everything was normal.
Alarm bells rang when the tenant suddenly stopped replying to messages and calls.
Fearing something was wrong, he went to the property and used his key to enter.
He said he was left stunned by the scene inside, describing rubbish covering nearly every surface.

Images show food packaging, fruit peels, used tissues, cardboard boxes and a pet transport box scattered across the room, with piles of waste stacked in corners and a heavy build-up of dirt throughout the flat.
The bedroom appeared to be among the worst affected, with the bed buried under a mound of rubbish instead of bedding, alongside stained quilts, pillows, bottles, takeaway food containers and discarded clothing.
Mr Hou said the tenant had left without completing any check-out procedures and had not returned.
He added that clearing the property would take significant time and cost, with some items potentially needing to be replaced.
After discovering the condition of the flat, he reported the matter to police, and handed over photos along with the rental contract.

Police said they would use the tenant’s details from the agreement to try to trace her and assist with the case.
Mr Hou said he intends to take legal action to recover cleaning costs and compensation for damage to the property.
