An influencer needed an X-ray and medical help to remove Kegel exercise balls that became stuck inside her during an intimate workout.
The incident happened in Joao Pessoa, a coastal city in Paraiba state in north-eastern Brazil, and was reported by Emelly Souza, 24.

Emelly said it happened while she was practising pompoarism alone — an intimate pelvic-floor exercise technique that involves tightening and controlling the vaginal muscles, sometimes using weighted devices.
The balls she was using are commonly known as Kegel balls — small weighted exercise balls designed to strengthen the pelvic-floor muscles.
Emelly said the balls became lodged internally and failed to move as expected.
Realising something was wrong, she said she initially tried to remove them herself but quickly understood she could not do so safely.
She said: “I tried to remove it myself, but I realized I wouldn’t be able to do it safely.”
An imaging exam was then carried out to determine exactly where the object was positioned. Emelly said the X-ray confirmed the balls were still lodged internally, allowing medical professionals to assess the safest way to remove them without causing injury.

She said: “The exam helped visualize the situation and avoid any improper attempts.”
Emelly said she then sought professional assistance and the accessory was removed without complications.
She said: “The most important thing was not insisting on doing it alone and following proper medical guidance.”
She later shared the X-ray image publicly, saying she wanted to inform others who practise intimate pelvic-floor exercises.
She added: “If something gets out of control, the best thing to do is seek help and not insist.”

Explaining why she decided to make the episode public, she said: “I’d rather talk about it than pretend it doesn’t happen. Information is also a form of care.”
