This is the moment a former police officer accused of torturing and killing a 22-year-old student nurse before dumping her body in a suitcase, drags and slaps another ex-girlfriend as she lies helpless on the floor with her hands and feet bound.

The footage was presented as evidence during a court hearing in Istanbul, Turkey, on 30th June, in the trial over the alleged murder of 22-year-old university student Ayse Tokyaz.

Prosecutors alleged Cemil Koc murdered Ayse before her body was stuffed into a suitcase and abandoned by the roadside in Istanbul on 13th July 2025.

The newly-released footage was submitted to the court by Ayse’s twin sister, Esra Tokyaz, who said it showed Koc had allegedly abused other women before Ayse’s death.
Koc is seen dragging his former girlfriend Ejegul Ovezova by the hair from the bed onto the floor while her hands and feet are bound, before slapping her across the head.

He was also heard telling her: “If you scream, I’ll hit you even more.”
Esra also presented photographs, videos and documents that she said related to alleged violence against Ejegul and another woman named Lara.

A female witness, who told the court she recorded the assault on Ejegul, said the victim had been too frightened to report Koc to police.

She told the hearing: “Eje was very scared. She kept saying, ‘He’ll kill me.’
“Ejegul said she wanted to leave, so he tied her up and beat her.

“That day she came home with a voice recorder switched on because she was afraid he would do something to her.”

The witness also claimed Koc assaulted her in 2022 after accusing her of secretly recording him.

She alleged he threatened her with a gun and only let her leave after she promised she would not report him.

The witness said she later obtained a medical report documenting her injuries and filed a complaint.

Koc is currently on trial over Ayse’s death and separately faces proceedings linked to Ejegul’s death after she fell from the eighth floor of an apartment building in Diyarbakir on 24th July 2023.

During the latest hearing, Koc denied arguing with Ayse before her death and claimed she fell from the apartment.
He also admitted striking Ayse during an earlier argument, telling the court he hit her several times in the face and once on the shoulder.

Ayse Tokyaz who had left a last video message that seemed to indicate she knew she was in danger was found dead inside a travel bag left by the roadside in Eyupsultan in Istanbul, Turkey, on 13th July.
In the chilling last clip, she had said, speaking directly to the camera: “Hello dear friends. Let this video be a gift to you for the rest of my life.
“If I die one day, please share this video with my loved ones. I love you all very much, but there are a few people who don’t deserve my blessing.”
Authorities said Ayse’s body was discovered after it had been stuffed into the suitcase and dumped by the roadside.
CCTV footage reportedly showed Koc carrying the suitcase out of his home on 11th July last year before placing it in the boot of a friend’s red car.
Investigators said former police officer Koc then paid a group of men to transport the suitcase in another vehicle before discarding it in a roadside area.
Prosecutors stated he brought her to his home, forced her to take cocaine to prevent her resisting, inflicted systematic violence on her, and killed her by beating her, causing a fatal brain haemorrhage.
The indictment said he acted with “monstrous feeling” and took pleasure in her suffering.
Prosecutors are seeking an aggravated life sentence for the murder of Ayse.
Koc told prosecutors: “Ayse Tokyaz died after falling. I destroyed the body because I was scared. I did not kill Ejegul in Diyarbakir either, she committed suicide.”
The hearing was adjourned until 2nd July.
