This is the smiling family photograph of a beautiful Russian woman and her 15-year-old daughter with her ex-husband who is alleged to have shot them both dead and has now been given two life sentences.

Thug Andrej Kuslevic, who was reportedly in demand as a bodyguard for Russian oligarchs, was convicted over the murders of his ex-wife Irina Dvizova, 42, and her daughter Dayana Dvizova, 15, in Bodrum, Muğla province, south-west Turkey, local media reported on 25th May.

The court in Bodrum set out its reasoning after reviewing evidence gathered during the investigation.
Judges said Kuslevic entered Turkey and fitted a fake licence plate to his own vehicle shortly afterwards.

Investigators stated that he then used a car belonging to Irina Dvizova during the period surrounding the killings.
Forensic teams later found blood traces belonging to both victims inside that vehicle.

CCTV footage and police tracking data were relied upon to reconstruct his movements before and after the incident.
The ruling noted that Kuslevic purchased flight tickets for two different countries on the same date.

Prosecutors said the travel bookings were consistent with planning an escape after the killings.
Relatives first raised the alarm on 23rd November 2023 after they were unable to contact Irina and Dayana.

Family members forced entry into the apartment in Konacik, where they reported seeing blood stains inside.
Police officers then launched a search operation using CCTV analysis and vehicle tracking systems.

The bodies of Irina Dvizova and Dayana Dvizova were discovered on 28th November 2023 on a steep roadside slope near Bodrum.
Investigators said both victims had been wrapped and left approximately three metres apart on rough terrain.

Post-mortem findings later revealed Irina had been shot three times, including to the head, while Dayana was hit twice, including to the neck and chest.
Kuslevic was identified as the main suspect following the initial findings at the property.

Prosecutors said the killings followed a bitter dispute over custody of the couple’s young son and alleged Kuslevic fled Turkey afterwards with the child, escaping via Lithuania.

Turkish authorities issued an international arrest warrant, and Kuslevic was later detained in Germany before being extradited back to Turkey on 6th February, according to local media.

He was arrested on arrival at Istanbul Airport.

During court proceedings, Kuslevic denied all allegations and rejected the evidence presented against him.

He told the court through an interpreter that he did not recognise himself in the footage shown.

Judges rejected his defence, stating that his account did not match the forensic and digital evidence.

Prosecutors said he remained at the scene for several hours after the killings and attempted to clean the property.

The ruling concluded that the murders were carried out with planning and intent, describing the actions as premeditated.
