A photographer and former model has left fans in disbelief after revealing he has turned 60 while appearing decades younger in birthday photos that quickly went viral online.
The milestone was marked in Singapore on 3rd March, when Chuando Tan shared a series of birthday photos on Instagram.
One image shows Tan posing beside a Jeep wearing a semi-unbuttoned shirt while holding balloons spelling out the number 60.
The post quickly went viral and has attracted more than 1.6 million likes.
Many followers flooded the comments section with messages of disbelief, saying he appeared decades younger than his real age.
One commenter wrote: “You’re celebrating 60 years with the face of a 35-year-old.”
Another joked: “He’s a vampire… I just can’t prove it.”
Alongside the photos, Tan shared a reflective message about ageing and time.
He wrote: “Today, on my 60th birthday, I am reminded that time is the only real wealth. Each sunrise arrives as an inheritance, not a guarantee. I am grateful to stand on this Earth still.
“The wiser path now is simple: return daily to nature and sunlight and align myself with what endures. I wish for peace on earth.”
Tan first drew global attention in 2017 when images from his Instagram account went viral, sparking widespread fascination with his youthful appearance when he was 51.
Before becoming an online sensation, Tan had already spent decades in the fashion industry.
He began his career as a model in the 1980s and later briefly pursued music as a pop singer in the 1990s before transitioning into fashion photography.
He later co-founded the creative studio Chuando & Frey.
In a 2023 interview, Tan said maintaining a youthful appearance was linked to everyday lifestyle habits.
He said: “What you do, what you eat, and what you think” all play a role.
Tan explained that daily physical activity should match the number of calories consumed and said maintaining a positive mindset can also shape how people feel about themselves over time.
Despite the ongoing fascination with his looks, Tan has previously said he does not believe there is any secret formula behind his appearance.
